•Cavas was founded in 1918 by the Miró family in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, a town located in the Alt Penedès region, an area known worldwide as the birthplace of D.O. Cava.
The Cava and wineries are located in the historic center of the village, and from the time of their founding until mid-2003, they have always been linked to the Miró family.
In 1928, the famous architect César Martinell completed construction of the wineries and the modern mansion.
The sixties and seventies were golden years for the Cava, positioning it among the best in the industry for its quality. Shortly after, the family-run company began a slow and steady decline, and in 2003, it was acquired by the Varias Fernández family, with its long and proven experience in the cava business, who were determined to improve the company's condition and relaunch the Cava.
Maintaining the standards of tradition, wisdom, and experience, the new owners are betting on a radical change in product development, introducing everything that innovation and today's technology can bring to the production of a quality Cava.
